School dinners:

Healthy.
Homemade.
Fresh.

Emma’s Kitchen provides nutritionally balanced, healthy and tasty school dinners because children should look forward to their lunchtimes.

We are passionate about educating children about food – where their food comes from and how their lunches are created.

To us, catering for school children is more than just serving food up at midday.

School dinners are key to a child’s success

Eating a balanced, hot meal at lunchtime is important for concentration. A filling, healthy lunch is proven to affect alertness – children are 3 times more likely to concentrate in class in the afternoon after eating a hot lunch.

All Emma’s Kitchen food is freshly made on site and of the best quality, using fresh produce and herbs and home-made bread. I don’t believe in fast frozen food which is why all our food is homemade, using local produce where possible.

Because we are a small team, we are able to deal with children’s individual dietary requirements and any allergies your child may have too, giving parents peace of mind.

Our aim is to provide pleasant dining experiences for the children to help foster a love of good food.

    What the parents say

“My children never used to like school dinners, but when Emma’s Kitchen came to our school we decided to try again – and I am so glad we did! My children LOVE Emma’s cooking! I truly believe that her meals are cooked from the heart, exactly as they would be at home. Emma’s ethos really appeals to me as well. She prides herself on making healthy, well balanced meals that include child friendly dishes like pizza with parent friendly ingredients like hidden veg. Happy tums = happy mum!”

“As a mum of three school age boys, I know how important it is to feel that your child is receiving a tasty and healthy meal at school. I pride myself on my ethos of healthy, homemade food that nourishes young minds and bodies. I favour fresh, local produce over fast, frozen foods and I believe in the importance of children eating together, learning table manners and enjoying the experience of food.”
